E3 always brings new announcements to be gawked at, but often it’s the second round of info and footage that I’m more excited for. And with Batman: Arkham Origins mere months away from release, what better time to whet the appetite than at E3?
Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline occurring several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City.
Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous villains and assassins, the game showcases a young, raw, unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight.
As the story unfolds, witness identities being formed and key relationships being forged.
Looks mighty tasty. I know that it’s not being developed by Rocksteady (yet they’re working on their own Batman title still – so annual Batman goodness!!), but I still can’t help but be excited by the game’s look and premise.
Batman: Arkham Origins is released worldwide on 25th October.
